Our Digital Product Development team specializes in application development, works mostly on web and mobile projects. The core technologies used are Angular, Node.js, .NET, Java, Swift and Kotlin.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Business Analyst tasks regarding to digital products and web and mobile application projects
  • Work with the customers and delivery team to fully understand the business requirements
  • Identify and Analyze system technical requirements together with different stakeholders
  • Analyse and Translate the requirements into user stories, technical specifications, and other artifacts as required by the project methodology
  • Prepare test cases and strategies for unit testing, system, integration testing and for other testing methods

Senior Data Analyst

What will you do?

  • You will talk to the business side of clients, and help them discover what is or would be possible with their data, model their business with numbers, define technical requirements, work alongside them making sense of their figures, and take part in testing data from a business perspective.
  • You will either be the lead on one or two projects at a time, or join a senior technical colleague – depending on the needs of the given client.
  • We expect you to be a technically aware Data Analyst at heart: thrive to derive business value from existing data and look for opportunities to line up more data for more business value.   • Your line manager is the Head of Analytics Engineering team with whom you usually touch bases a couple times a week.

Typical tasks include:

  • Understand the client’s business model, their current issues, and how they map their business to data.  Help them make sense of and verify their data and assumptions.
  • Create a roadmap for the client and lead them along. Devise and/or revise data analytics practices for the specific situation to help the client to advance towards their business goals.
  • Define work for the technical Analytics Engineers.
  • Make sure that the delivered solution is both meaningful as well as correct.

  • Being able to work with business-oriented data models in both spreadsheets and databases. Querying in SQL, and managing even rather complex Excel/Google Sheets as a matter of course.

Data Engineer (Azure - Databricks)

Hiflylabs is a leading Data Consultancy Agency competency center in Europe with a staff of over 150 experts. With two decades of experience in the Data & Analytics field, Hiflylabs focuses on serving clients both in Europe and North America. We build cloud data platforms and data warehouses, do data analysis and data visualization, apply data science to business problems, and even consult on data management.

At Hiflylabs, we are looking to extend our Analytics Engineering team. This team typically works with international clients in small squads, almost exclusively in agile.

We expect you to be a Analytics Engineer at heart: a data-oriented person with data/software engineering chops.

You will be briefed on what the client wants on the business side (it’s in plain English and not overly complex).

You then pick the technical components needed to fulfill those needs, mostly out of cloud services we routinely work with.  Some of these are standard AWS or GCP platform services, some are even more modern ones, like Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, or Looker.  You help to scope the sprints as well.

Sprint-by-sprint you take part in delivering a reliable, working solution that pleases the client and meets the business constraints as well.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Manage assigned projects (both software/products and/or infrastructure projects) and the production of relevant project deliverables and artifacts
  • Identify project risks and issues, escalating where appropriate, in a timely manner
  • Manage the expectations and satisfaction of the stakeholders
  • Implement effective change control by ensuring project change impacts are assessed and communicated so all parties are aligned
  • Ensure project resources and budgets are tracked and kept up to date
  • Develop and distribute timely status reporting with key metrics to appropriate stakeholders
  • Follow and align with the organisation’s processes, governance framework and best practice
  • Own and engage in all stages of the agile development process – planning, stand-up, show-and-tell and retrospective ceremonies
  • Work closely with the product owners to ensure the backlog is sufficiently prioritised for the next iteration
  • Manage, coach and motivate the project team
  • Communicate with openness, honesty and respect in all situations and be adept at conflict resolution and direction setting

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO APPLY TO THIS ROLE?

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the area of IT Advisory projects as subject matter expert and/or project manager,
  • Deep understanding of the business model of at least two industries: banking, telecommunication, energy, insurance, production, retail,
  • Deep understanding of current digital transformation, IT delivery, and complex project/program methodology trends,
  • Capability of intervening, if needed, in larger projects, even correcting the work of subject matter experts,
  • Strong people management skills with a proven track record as a leader,
  • Very good presentation skills,
  • Strong English skills (both written and verbal) and Hungarian native language knowledge is a must,
  • Capability of creating concepts, methods for non-predictable situations and engagements is an advantage, however not required.

WHAT IS GOOD TO HAVE?

  • Proven track record managing IT engagements (projects) in major of the following areas: system implementation (ERP, CRM, BI, core banking, BSS/OSS), IT organizational and operating model, technical subject matter projects (ie. architecture related),
  • Experience in working with C level executives,
  • IT advisory / Business consulting experience (Big4 or top-tier consultants) or large company CxO level support background
  • Experience in consulting related sales processes,
  • Experience in working with public sector companies is an advantage
  • Knowledge of data management methodologies and/or tools
  • Understanding of data analysis methods, technologies, and their application possibilities (Big Data tools, Machine Learning, data management tools, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Cooperate with our partners and their teams on different IT Service Management project and IT Operation improvement tasks

  • Discovering, understanding, overviewing, and proposing solutions to clients’ business problems that can be solved on the basis of data visualization
  • Assessing, coordinating the clients dashboarding needs, and proactively proposing dashboard, KPI and information hierarchy that fits the business questions
  • Designing and developing executive and tactical (rarely operational) dashboards, considering best practices of data visualization and the specific needs of the client, especially the business question they are looking for an answer to
  • Supporting of data analysis projects with the presentation of the results of exploratory analyses and the visual presentation of data analysis results (e.g. machine learning predictions and their accuracy)
  • Cooperating with colleagues form different areas, like data platform developers, data analysts, consultants, depending on the content of the project and the composition of the project team
  • Creating the visualization data model behind the dashboard as needed
